Thearsa Lynn Collier

Thearsa Lynn Collier, 48, was born on February 3, 1971 in Fairbanks Alaska to the late Jesse Eugene Collier Sr. and Lue Vater Collier (Haley). 

Thearsa Collier was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, who loved God and served him all her life.  She was blessed with a strong spirit and a soft giving heart.  Her service extended to her love of country in which she honorably served in the United States Navy, defending the freedoms we hold dear.  She earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and chose to become a school teacher.  She enjoyed social interaction, mentoring, and guiding students towards a successful future.

Thearsa Collier is survived by her four brothers, Jesse E. Collier Jr., Darrel W. Collier, Kenneth E. Collier Sr., and Keith E. Collier and a host of relatives and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral home. Funeral services will be held at Airport Church of Christ on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.
