Tim Adams

Tim Adams age 89 of Crestview passed away on Thursday November 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Holt, FL on March 14, 1930 to Joe and Bernice Adams, and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Tim graduated from Crestview High School in 1948 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. When he came home from the war he went to work at Eglin where he worked as a Range Supervisor. Tim was a member and lifetime Deacon at First Baptist Church of Crestview; he loved his church dearly. He loved to bird hunt in his younger years and loved working on cars. Most of all Tim loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and 2 grandchildren: Laurel and April. Survivors include his wife of 65 years Jaynell Adams; daughter Donna Patti and husband Raymond; brother Joe Adams; sisters: Virginia Marcum and Betty Mills. The apple of his eye also survives his grandchildren: Justin Wyckoff, Ethan Wyckoff, Seth Wyckoff, Terrance Wyckoff, and Jessica Spangler; 2 great grandchildren also survive Jules and Elisa Wyckoff, and a special niece Tina Cyr, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and church family. The celebration of Tim’s life will be on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Tim’s memory to the First Baptist Church building Fund.
