Wendell Kirkpatrick, age 89, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at North Okaloosa Hospital. Wendell was a sheet metal mechanic until his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents, W.E. and Opal Kirkpatrick; one brother, Mack Kirkpatrick; and one step-son, John D. Kennedy.

Wendell is survived by his wife, Grace Kennedy Kirkpatrick; two step-daughters, Jane and husband Bill Head, Connie Sue and husband Rick Draper; one step-son, Richard D. Kennedy, all of Crestview, Florida; eight step-grandchildren, nine great-step-grandchildren and two great-great-step-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Golden of Nash, Texas; two nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

A time of visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2018 from 1-2:00PM at Whitehurst-Powell funeral Home. Services will begin at 2:00PM with Reverend George Katzman officiating. Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery in New Harmony (Walton County) Florida.

Those asked to serve as pallbearers are; Greg Brack, Dennis Geoghagan, Tim Geoghagan, Phil Kelley, Tony Kelley, Lewis Thorn and Ricky Kennedy.
