Austin Bradley passed away January 21, 2022 at the age of 91. Austin was born March 28,1930 to Audrey and Alphus Bradley. He was a lifelong resident of Crestview, FL and graduated from Crestview High School. He played football at CHS and never lost his love for the game. He was an avid Bulldog and Florida Gator fan, listening to the games on a radio station he helped build many years ago.
He met and married his high school sweetheart, Lyvone Palmer who for 68 years shared a deep and abiding love for each other.
After serving in the National Guard from 1948-1954 Austin was an accomplished custom home builder known by many for his exceptional craftsmanship.
He was most happy when he was spending time in the woods listening to his beloved fox hounds or on a lake fishing with his friends or his grandsons. But in his later years he was most known for the love and care he gave to his precious wife Lyvone.
He was a faithful member of the Crestivew Church of Christ. Mr. Bradley is preceded in death by his wife Lyvone, his parents, Audrey and Alphus Bradley, sisters Betty Givens, Peggy Horton and Jeanette Mims, and brother Robert Bradley. He is survived by his devoted and loved dog, BJ Bradley, his daughters Jackie Powell, and Joan (Bubba) Bullington. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Lloyd Hayes, Drew (Amy) Bullington, Ashely (Wyatt) Montgomery and Amy (Win) Anderson, along with 9 great grandchildren; a sister Inez deGraaf, a brother, Bobby Bradley, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, January 24th at Live Oak Cemetery in Crestview, FL at 11am.
Whether you knew him as Austin, Buddy, Bugger B, Daddy, Poppie or Uncle Austin he will be greatly missed.
