Barbara Stewart age 67 of Baker passed away on Saturday March 19, 2022, at Crestview Rehab Center. She was born in Florala, AL on August 14, 1954, to Earl and Lucille Stewart and was a lifelong resident of Baker. She graduated from Baker High School and went to work with the Okaloosa County School System in the Lunchroom where she worked for 18 plus years. Barbara loved taking care of her cats and loved to shop. She loved to read, loved people and loved giving gifts and most of all loved her family. Barbara was preceded in death by her father Earl Stewart, sister Erlene Stewart, and sister-in-law Barbara Stewart. Survivors include her mother, Lucille Stewart; brother Ned Stewart; nephews Jeremy Stewart and wife Kassie and Brad Stewart and his wife Carrie along with several great nieces and nephews and the herd of cats she loved to take care of. The celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Thursday March 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home with burial to follow at Old Ebenezer Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
