Bea Steele

Bea Steele passed away on August 24, 2020. A life long resident of Crestview, Florida he was born on March 1, 1938 to Jack and Naomi Steele.

Bea began working in his father’s dry cleaning business when he was 12 years old. He graduated from Crestview High School in 1956. He worked with Vitro Services at Eglin for more than 20 years and retired to work in another family business, Crestview Plumbing and Hardware.

Bea liked buying and trading cars, especially with Lee Automotive of Crestview. He enjoyed coffee with the gang at Whataburger and card games with J.J., Jackie, Lassiter, Jerry and Bill. He loved going to Yard Sales and bringing back treasures to family and friends.

Bea is survived by his children, Dee Steele, Gae Bruner and Sean Clancy, Wes Steele and Sonja Davis; his grandchildren, Drew Bruner and wife Anna, Vince Bruner and fiancé Alexa Guarachi, Peggy Bruner and Joey Lancos and Jack Bruner; his great-granddaughter, Vivian due December 2020; sister, Jackie Holloway, Brother J.J. Steele; childhood friend, Cash Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Bea was preceded in death by his wife, of 32 years, LouAnn Steele; his parents, Jack and Naomi; brother, Pete Steele; sisters-in-law, Patty Steele and Dawn Steele; Brother-in-law, Bob Holloway.

We would like to thank Dr. Mir and his staff, nurse Betty Jordan, his life long physician Dr. Lee Thigpen and his special nurse Brook Balcom.

Respecting their Dad’s wishes there will not be a Memorial Service. The family will hold a private service honoring their Dad at a future date.
