Herbert Lyvon Crawford

          Bert Crawford age 88 of Crestview passed away on Tuesday October 18, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born in Crestview on February 20, 1934, to Henry and Bessie Crawford. Bert served his country in the United States Army for several years. He was a faithful member of New Beginnings Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working outside especially in his garden but most of all he loved his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Crawford; his parents; sisters, Betty Jean Barnhill, Edna Mae Mason and Glenda Newman; brothers, Gerald Crawford, Lonnie Crawford and Edmond Crawford.

Bert is survived by son, J.R. Crawford; daughter, Debra Miller and husband Mike; Brother, J.D. Crawford and wife Faye; children, Gregory Miller and Kimberly Miller; Great-grandchildren, Page Miller, Ryan Raabe, Justin Barnhill, and Myka Miller; and one great-great-grandchild, Justin Barnhill.

A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 2:00. Burial will follow at New Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. After the burial the family invites everyone back to New Beginnings Church for lunch.
