Obituary

Betty Garrett[BA1]  Adams, 88, went to her heavenly home on March 7, 2021. She was born on August 4, 1932 in Baker, FL to Rube and Onie Garrett.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Adams and her daughter, Denise Henry. Elton and Betty were the owners and operators of Adam’s Grocery in Holt for more than 20 years. Betty also drove the school bus for Okaloosa County Schools and then became a caretaker for her mother.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Brenda Holt and husband Cliff, and her son-in-law, Dan Henry. She has four grandchildren and four great grandchildren which she loved with all her heart. Andrea Brown and husband Jason, Ashley Baker and husband Ernie, Adam Henry and wife Jessica and children Cade, Jase, and Ella, and Colton Henry and wife Chelby and son Hudson. She will be greatly missed by all.

A Graveside service will be held at the Mencie and Virgie Memorial Garden located behind the New Holt Cemetery on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 3:00 pm with Scott Adams officiating.
