Betty Jo Marcotte

            Jo Marcotte age 67 of Crestview went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday September 27, 2022, at her home. She was born in China Lake, CA on August 24, 1955, to Robert Boutwell and Donna Morrison. She was born in California and raised in Illinois. Jo lived in Crestview and raised her family here as well. She was member of Crosspoint in Crestview and the last several months a member of Southside Baptist Church in Opp, AL. Jo retired from the Okaloosa County School Board where she worked for 40 years as a Manager in the Food Service Department. She loved to travel, go camping and visit with family and friends. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandkids. Jo is preceded in death by her father Robert Boutwell and wife Pat and brother Brian LaDew.

            Survivors include her husband of 47 years Dave Marcotte; her children: Steve Marcotte and his wife Sabrina, Joey Marcotte and his wife Angie, Nick Marcotte and his wife Christina, Amber Hammonds and her husband Rodney, and Davey Marcotte; Mother Donna Morrison, Brother Bobby Boutwell and his wife Linda, sisters Earlene Shores and her husband Johnny and Amy Miles; grandchildren: Austin, Maddie and her husband Corey, Sydney, Leslee, Logan, Everett, Amre, Amelia, Drew, Sabrina, and Chris; great grandchildren: Cohen and Cameron. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

            A time of visitation with the family will be held on Monday October 3, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. The celebration of Jo’s life will be on Tuesday October 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.
