Bobbie J. (Cordle) Carver

Bobbie Jean Carver (Cordle), 79, of Crestview, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on June 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 4, 1946, in Florala, Alabama, she was the beloved daughter of the late Obie D. Cordle and Bertie Mae (Carnley) Cordle.
In 1966, Bobbie married the love of her life, Robert Gail Carver. Together they created a warm and nurturing home, raising three children: Tonia, Rex, and Max. Bobbie was known for her kind heart, creative spirit, and unwavering generosity. She was a talented quilter, a passionate cross-stitcher, and an exceptional cook.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gail; her children, Tonia (Carver) Lawson and her husband Ken of Freeport, FL; Rex Carver and his partner David Whitmore of Mount Juliet, TN; and Max Carver and his wife Wanda of Baker, FL; her grandchildren, Chad Lawson and his wife Ricki of Navarre, FL; Rachel (Carver) Manalang and her husband Mico of Atlantic City, NJ; Samantha Carver; Alexis (Mitchem) Martin and husband Austin; Garrin Mitchem; Dawson Mitchem; and her great-grandchildren, Annaliese Grace Martin and Annastyn Grey Martin. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Obie D. Cordle, Jr., and her sister Debra Faye (Cordle) Godwin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Whitehurst Powell Chapel, with her sister, Martha Hoover, officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather beginning at 10:00 AM. A graveside committal will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery, where Bobbie will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Bobbie’s memory to the American Diabetes Association or Emerald Coast Hospice Care.
Bobbie’s gentle soul, generous heart, and compassionate nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
