Carol Joan Bailey Barton

  Carol Joan Bailey Barton, age 88 of Baker FL. Passed away Monday evening October 2, 2023, at EDEN Assisted Living in Crestview FL. She was known as “Joan’ by her family and friends. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 7, 1935. Joan worked for a few years at US Steel in Birmingham before marrying and starting a family. She spent most of her life as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she loved every minute of it. Her interests included cooking, flower arranging, decorating and painting. She loved the Lord and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist church in Baker Florida.

Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Leroy Barton, her parents Roy C. Bailey and Iva Irene Nicholson, her brother Roy C Bailey Jr. and sister Nancy Jean Baisch.

She is survived by her sons, Roy A. Barton, Robert D. Barton and Katie and two grandchildren, Jerrica and Jayden Barton.

There will be a graveside service for immediate family only. A celebration of life for both Robert L. and Carol Joan Barton will be scheduled in the near future to be held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
