Charlotte Spivey Obituary

Charlotte Lynda Spivey, age 70, of Crestview, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on May 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, service, and unconditional love.

Born with a determined spirit and a generous heart, Charlotte lived a life devoted to caring for others. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force as a radar technician, a reflection of the strength and dedication that would define her throughout her life. Following her military service, she built a successful career as an aerospace quality inspector at L3 communications, earning the respect of colleagues through her hard work, attention to detail, and unwavering loyalty to her profession.

Charlotte was never one to sit still. She loved fishing, working with her hands, and could often be found on the boat, building, or improving something around the house. If something was broken, Charlotte would find a way to fix it. Her resourcefulness, independence, and determination were qualities admired by all who knew her.

While her accomplishments were many, Charlotte's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted spouse, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and support, and she never hesitated to put the needs of those she loved before her own. She gave freely of her time, wisdom, and affection, creating memories that her family will treasure forever.

Charlotte is survived by her beloved spouse of more than 35 years, Connie Wedgeworth; her brother, Charles Spivey Jr.; her daughters, Heather Ferrante and Vyctoria Bodek; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Among them is her great-granddaughter, Charlotte Bodek, who proudly carries her name and serves as a lasting reminder of the love and legacy she leaves behind.

Those who knew Charlotte will remember her quick wit, strong character, capable hands, and caring heart. She faced life's challenges with resilience and met every opportunity to help others with generosity and compassion. Her influence can be seen in the family she nurtured, the friends she cherished, and the countless lives she touched along the way.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the stories shared around family tables, in the lessons she taught through example, and in the enduring love she leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Charlotte's life. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Funeral Home on Friday, June 12th, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m.

Charlotte's life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will remain in the hearts of those who knew her forever.
