Christine Highlander Obituary

Christine Highlander, age 92, of Crestview passed away on June 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 20, 1928 in Magee, Mississippi to Troy and Amy White. Chris was a member of Lifepoint Church for over fifty years, worked at the Base Exchange for 17 years as a clerk and in the accounting office. She loved working in her yard, mowing her grass, and planting flowers in her flower bed. Bushhogging her field was also one of her favorite things, but most of all Chris loved spending time with her family.

Chris was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Highlander; and her brother, Robert White and Glenn White.

Christine is survived by her sons, Charles Ray Highlander and wife Linda, Robin Highlander and wife Sandy; daughter, Carolyn Williamson and husband Weyland; brother, David Hegwood and wife Martha; sister, Georgia Lee Nichols; sister-in-law, Viola White; grandchildren, Josh Highlander and wife Jenny, Caitlin Allison and husband Mike, Weyland II and wife Kim, Eron and wife Lacey, Kara, and Hunter and his wife Kayla; great-grandchildren, Colton, Teague, Jonah, Savannah, Weyland III, Skyler, Cameron, Gage, Roxy and Jack; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
