Christy Louise Heinen

Christy Louise Heinen, age 69 of Crestview, Florida, passed away on Sunday March 3rd, 2019 with her family by her side.  She was born to the late Vernon and Verlyn Jaquish.  Christy (aka Chris, Nana, Chrissy) was a member of Victorious Life Worship Center in Crestview.

Christy was a very crafty person and had a passion for crafts.  If she saw a picture of any craft, she could make it without any pattern or instruction.  She could sew clothes, Christmas stockings and ornaments, knit, crochet, needle point and just about any other craft. 

Chris retired from Publix in 2014, due to health reasons.  While she worked at Publix she would always make holiday pins for all the employees to wear.  Mom loved to greet and talk to everyone that came by her cash register.  She would always arrive to work at least 30 minutes early, just so she can go say hello to all the employees working in the store before her shift started. 

Chris has touched many lives.  Her heartfelt sincerity and selfless attitude towards everyone around her was prevalent in everything she did.  She was always willing to help anyone out if she was able to.  Chris had a great sense of humour and would always make jokes and loved to laugh. 

Chris will be missed beyond measure.  She is survived by her daughter Barbara Marshall (Darren); son Steven Heinen (Jaenne Strydom); brother Robert Jaquish (Carol); and three grandchildren, Blake Marshall (Kaylla); David Marshall, and Alyssa Marshall. 

A celebration of Christy’s life will be held at 6:00pm on Saturday March 9th, 2019, at Victorious Life Worship Center. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, in Christy’s memory.
