Claude Grice Griffith

Mr. Claude Grice Griffith, age 84 of Ft. Walton Beach, FL  passed Monday December 28, 2020.  Born in Baker, FL  April 15, 1936 to Joel and Ila May (Grice) Griffith  he was Southern Baptist by faith and a 1957 graduate of Baker High School where he played football.  Moving to Tallahassee in 1961 to provide for his family he pursued opportunities as a gas station manager, milk man, door to door insurance sales as well as a maintenance/property manager before returning to this area in 2012.    He enjoyed his family, camping, hunting, as well as Bluegrass and Gospel Music.  The youngest of seven children, he was preceded in death by his parents, his wife DeLaney Belle Griffith (in 2012) and 5 of his siblings.

Mr. Griffith is survived by his sons Claude DeWayne and his wife Freda Griffith of Stockbridge, GA and son Robin C, and his wife Christina Griffith of Fort Walton Beach, FL and his older brother James Griffith of Baker, FL.  

Friends are invited to a Graveside Service Saturday January 2th, 2021 at the Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church Cemetery at 10am with Pastor David Roy officiating.  The family requests that due to COVID-19 restrictions, facemasks and proper social distancing be used.
