Connie Grace Grecu

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing or our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Connie Grace Grecu, on December 5, 2025 at the age of 77. Connie was born to Jeffie Lee Bradley, Sr. and Gracie Ellen Bradley on September 16, 1948. She graduated from Escambia High School, and then attended Troy State College. After graduation, she began her career as a devoted school teacher, a profession from which she never really retired. Instead, after her official retirement from the Okaloosa County Board of Eduction, she continued to pour her time, skills and talents into educating her grandchildren even just days before her death. Her home was a place of warmth, hospitality, joy, and laughter. Connie leaves behind a legacy of love, of prayer, and of faith that will continue in her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched. Though our hearts ache with loss, we rejoice in knowing that she is now at peace, welcomed into the arms of her Savior, whom she loved and followed so faithfully. Her life’s race has been run, her work is done, and she now rests in glory, having heard the words we all long to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of Your Lord.” Matthew 25:23. May her memory compel us to walk closely with God daily, cherish family deeply, love others generously, and, most importantly, to “remember who we are and what we are called to.” Connie was preceded in death by her father, Jeffie Lee Bradley, Sr., her mother, Gracie Ellen Bradley, and her brother, Jeffie Lee Bradley, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry Grecu of Baker, Florida; her children: Jonathan Grecu (Yuliya); Mary Ellen Shellhouse (Bennie); Richard Grecu (Monica); and Cindy Grecu; her eleven grandchildren: Sasha Grecu, Rose Hall, Ethan Shellhouse (Jessica), Grace Shellhouse, Misha Grecu, Nathan Shellhouse, Aaron Shellhouse, Nicholas Shellhouse, Stella Grecu, Simon Shellhouse, and Luke Shellhouse. Additionally, Connie is survived by her twin brother, Lonnie Bradley (Sheryl), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A celebration of life will be conducted in Connie’s honor at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Victorious Life Worship Center in Crestview, Florida.
