Corine Clark Obituary

Corine Register Clark, 88 years young, passed peacefully from this life to her new life Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at her home in Pace Fl. Born in Holmes County, Florida, she was the daughter of L.D. Register and Inez Davis Register. In addition to her parents, she is reunited again with her sister Naomi. She leaves behind a son Tim, a daughter and son-in law Jennifer and James Tislow, her daughter-in-law Alice and her husband Terry Thomas, grandchildren Christopher Clark, Jillian Clark, Allison Tislow, Nicole Tislow, and Alex Tislow, a niece and nephew Kimberly and Danny Wilkins, her brother Wayne Register, her dear friend and caregiver Dianne Brooks and many cousins and friends who will miss her greatly.

Corine was born in northern Holmes County Florida November, 16, 1931. She graduated from Holmes County High School in Bonifay, Florida in 1949. She worked as the office manager for Liberty National Life Insurance Company both in Panama City and Marianna, Florida for several years before marrying her husband of nearly 60 years, W. Max Clark, who predeceased her in 2018. They started their lives together in Fort Walton, Florida in 1958. After their first child arrived on the scene they moved to Crestview where she and Max lived for roughly 50 years and raised their family. Although she worked from time to time helping the local Liberty National office, she made herself into an superior full-time wife, mother, homemaker, school volunteer, and eventually the best cook all her kids and grandkids had ever had the pleasure to experience. She excelled at being a grandmother and forever will affectionately be simply known and remembered as “Grammy”. She loved hosting the frequent “spend the night parties” at Paw-Paw’s and Grammy’s house. She was an avid gardener and loved making her home feel special to all who visited. After living “around the corner” from their oldest grandchildren while they were growing up, she and Max retired and moved to the Pace area late in life in order for them to be able to “live around the corner” from their youngest grandchildren. She was a member of Wallace Baptist Church, Pace Fl. and greatly enjoyed attending and being with her friends in the Adult Sunday school class.

Active Pallbearers will be Wayne Register, James Tislow, Danny Wilkins, Alex Tislow, Christopher Clark, and Tim Clark
