Curtis Wayne "Shug" Jones

Wayne Jones of Crestview, FL passed away Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at the age of 86.  He was born in Alexander City, AL on December 22, 1934.  He graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City and married his high school sweetheart, Norma Jean Tate.  He served in the US Air Force after high school.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Gertie Jones, his older sister, Frankie Jones Kicker and by his wife Norma Jean Jones.  He is survived by his two sons, Michael Jones (Deborah) and Russell Jones.  He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren - Christopher Jones (Brandy), Matthew Jones (Sara), and Emma Jones Seymour (Dylan).  Also surviving are 6 great grandchildren – Cayley Anne Anderson, Amelia Jones, Luke Jones, Morgan Jones, Evelyn Jones, and Gunner Seymour.

Graveside services for Wayne Jones will be held on Saturday, August 28th at 2:00pm at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery in Crestview, Fl.  Visitation with the family will follow the service.

The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
