Damaris Oles Gilbert

          Damaris (Tammy) Gilbert age 82 of Crestview passed away on Sunday April 3, 2022, at Eden Place in Crestview, Florida. She was born in Hartford Connecticut on September 29, 1939, to Irving R. and Barbara Stone Oles. Tammy worked for many years as a teacher for The Common School in Amherst, Massachusetts and later as a real estate agent. Tammy and her husband Paul fostered children for many years. She loved the outdoors and spending time at their cottage on Orr’s Island, Maine, walking, boating, and fishing. In her later years she enjoyed quilting and watching the Red Sox. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Paul Gilbert and her brother Johnny.

          Tammy is survived by her four children: Michael Gilbert and his wife Michele, Scott Gilbert and his wife Veronica, Mark Gilbert and his wife Jane, and Susan Gilbert; sister Sandy Salo and her husband John; grandchildren: David, Danielle, Stephanie, Alison, Casey, Kyle, and Laura; also surviving are her great grandchildren: Scarlett, Emma, Presley, Savannah, Brantley, Emsley, and Copper.

          A private family service will take place at a later date.
