Daniel Junior York

Daniel York was born May 22, 1944, at the Enzor Hospital in Crestview, FL. He passed away in his sleep on April 9, 2024, at 79 years old.  He loved worshipping the Lord every day and spreading the gospel. He was a long-time member of Southside Baptist and New Beginnings Baptist churches.  But most of all a member of any church door that was open and was praising Jesus. Born and raised in Milligan FL, he believed in helping his fellow man, turning the other cheek, and taking every opportunity to ask someone about their personal relationship with Jesus!!! He was a good man, and the best father and husband that he knew how to be!! He was loved and he will be missed!!  

Special thanks and gratitude are owed and given to his oldest daughter Patty York & her son Jessie Crawford who cared for him over the last three years while battling dementia.

Daniel leaves behind six children, and their spouses, Patty, Stephanie, Adam & Christina, Mark & Mellissa, Steven & Mellisa, & Cindy Gainey. Seventeen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley York, his father Jessie York, his mother Alice York, his sisters, Eloise York, Jessie Mae Allen, and Judy Howard.  Along with several nieces and nephews and other beloved family members including Patricia York.

Services will be held at White Hurst Funeral Home, on April 17, 2024with visitation beginning at 1 pm and service following at 2 pm. No graveside service will be held.
