Our Beloved David Lee Oetman, 61, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 21, 2018. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his treasured family while listening to the scripture, Matthew 4:23-5:10. Dave was born on September 19, 1956 in Allegan Michigan, the son of Illene and Jerry Oetman. Those left to cherish his memory include his four sons: Kyle Oetman, Joshua Oetman, Patrick Oetman and Matthew Goodman and daughter Victoria Goodman; wife, Erika Oetman; siblings, Debi (Chris) Kraft, Mike (Donna) Oetman, Kathy (Jon) Rockwood and Joni (John) VanNieuwenhuyzen as well as many other loved relatives and friends. His prayer is to celebrate with you all again in Heaven. David was an amazingly-loving husband, father, great friend, and a hardworking man. He served in the United States Air Force as a B52 Navigator retiring at Langley AFB in 2002 after a distinguished career and continued working as a government contractor. He took great pride in everything he did especially helping others. David held a strong faith in the Lord. He particularly enjoyed being a part of the Kids ministry at his church, Crosspoint, playing many roles to bring the Bible stories to life as well as serving in missions. A memorial service will be held at Crosspoint, 2250 PJ Adams Parkway, Crestview, FL 32536; on Friday, June 29; at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the International Leadership Institute which trains leaders across the globe to take the good news of the gospel to those places hard to reach: https://iliteam.org/
