Derl Stanley Justice, Jr.

          Derl Justice age 68 of Crestview passed away on Sunday March 27, 2022, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL surrounded by his family. He was born in Sampson County, N.C. on March 25, 1954, to Derl and Emma Justice and he grew up in Suffolk, VA. Derl served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years. While in the Air Force he worked as a Surgical Technician Administrator, after retiring from the military he started Derl’s Lock and Safe and served the Crestview Community for 25 plus years. He attended Destiny Worship Center and loved his church family. Derl loved the outdoors, especially being out fished by Cathy. He loved to travel with his wife and loved seafood, but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents.

            Derl is survived by his wife of 10 years Cathy Justice; his children: Brian Justice and Ohamy, Kevin Justice and Mary Jo, Erin Keith and Dustin, Justin Lindsey and Melissa, and Amanda Myers and John; brother Mike Justice and sisters: Donna Perry and Sandra Tester. Derl is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Ashleigh, Austin, Shelbee, Dylan, Jacelyn, Aidan, Paige, Michael, Charlotte, Emma Grace, Layne, Emma Louise, Grayson, and Myles.

            The celebration of Derl’s life will be held at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home Chapel on   Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11:30am with a visitation beginning an hour before. A private family burial will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Derl’s memory to Hope City Community Church, P.O.
