Dewey Edward Barrow

Born in Fort Walton Bch. Fl. On Jan. 10, 1937, Dewey was a dedicated and loving husband and father.  He is preceded in death by his father and mother Nicholas and Sarah Oliver Barrow, father and mother in law Austin and Maxie Young Nolan, his brother Lewey Barrow (Francis), his sisters Louise (Fred), Joyce (Bob), Jewel (Paul, James) and grand-daughter Kera Rachelle.  Dewey is survived by his wife of 63 years Lois Nolan Barrow, his sons Gary Edward Barrow (Jade), Daniel Austin Barrow (Cynthia), sister in laws, Jeannie (Willis), Gale (Larry), Jimmie Lou (Paul), grandchildren Conni Rae, Justin Daniel (Danielle), Nicholas Oliver Alexander, Daniel Christopher Edward, great grandchildren Logan, Wyatt, Delilah, Blaine, Cody, Carter and many nieces and nephews.

Dewey proudly served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force for a total of over 21 years.  After his military retirement, Dewey worked for the Okaloosa County School System and retired again after another 20 years.  An avid outdoorsman Dewey had a passion for the outdoors, and in the years proceeding illness, he could be found fishing or hunting at every opportunity.  Later in life, he developed hobbies in collecting.  His love of our Lord Jesus and steadfast faith are an enduring inspiration to all that knew and loved him.

Services will be held at Whitehurst-Powell funeral home in Crestview Fl. on Monday, June 3rd.  The viewing will be at 10:00 am followed by the memorial service at 11:00 am. Committal services and burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery, Fort Walton Beach.
