Dixie Richbourg, age 83, of Crestview, passed away on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at North Okaloosa Medical Center. She was born on April 25, 1936 to Agnes and Walter Davis. Dixie was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 15 years. She loved to give to others. She was a generous lady, that loved to sew, collect crystals and elephants, shop, and give to her family and others. One of the greatest joys that Dixie had, was her grandchildren, and volunteering to feed those in need. She donated much of her time to cooking for her children and their work colleagues. She also volunteered and cooked many meals for the Crestview Rehabilitation Center and donated to Crestview Sharing and Caring. She made Christmas Stockings for 25 years for the 1st Graders at Bob Sikes and Walker Elementary Schools where her daughter taught. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Frank Richbourg.
Survivors include her four children; Frank Richbourg Jr. and his wife Kim, Mike Richbourg and his wife Ginny, Kelly Richbourg and wife Tammy, and Brenda Kronmiller and husband Kevin. Dixie was also survived by her grandchildren Ashley Richbourg, Brittany Richbourg, Michael Richbourg, Peyton Richbourg, Parker Richbourg, Kricket Fortner and her husband Coltin, and Hunter Kronmiller.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Ian Anderson. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please send charitable donations to Crestview Caring and Sharing so that Dixie’s legacy of giving can live on.
