Donald H Childs

Donald H. Childs passed away on August 27, 2020. He was born in Winterhaven, Florida on February 19, 1955 to Willie and Ailene Childs. He was a correctional officer and he loved Georgia football.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ailene Childs; brothers, his twin Ronnie, Clint, W.C., Willie Childs; and Charles Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Florance Childs; stepson, Christopher Lambeth; daughter, Crystal Childs; step-daughters, Jennifer Hutchinson, and Christina Marie Lowrey; brothers, Gene Lewis and wife Francis; sisters, Mary Buckhaulter and husband Gene, Caroline Dollar and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Trent  and Kaley Pettis.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 11:00-12:00 with the funeral service starting at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Svea Cemetery.
