Donna Fournier Obituary

Donna Joyce Fournier, 80, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on December 4th, 2025, at North Okaloosa Medical Center. She was born on April 26th, 1945, in Arundel, Maryland, to the late Agnes (Kiser) and Phillip Geoghan.

She was known simply as “Grandma” to her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife to James Fournier (deceased) and a loving mother to Michael, Sean (deceased), and Lee Fournier. Donna had qualities comparable only to Superwoman. She was strong, passionate, and wonderfully witty, with a spirit that left an impression on everyone who knew her. Donna had a heart big enough for everyone; blood never defined family to her. If you needed love, guidance, or a place to belong, her arms were already open.

She held the people she loved to a high standard, not out of pressure, but because she saw their potential long before they did. She expected greatness, and she encouraged it every step of the way. She spent countless hours helping her grandchildren with schoolwork, offering tips, tricks, and wisdom that would stay with them far beyond the classroom.

Throughout her life, Donna worked in retail and spent time as a stay-at-home mom, pouring her energy into the people who mattered most. As she got older, her happiest days were the ones spent with her grandchildren—teaching them, laughing with them, and showing them the kind of unconditional love only she could give. While their parents were at work, she loved being helpful in every way she could. She loved cooking dinner for the whole family—especially during the holidays—because the joy and togetherness of those moments meant everything to her. More than anything, she cherished the moments when everyone was together under one roof, talking, laughing, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

She was always challenging her mind. She loved building puzzles, drawing, and working through crosswords and Sudoku with impressive patience and skill. Earlier in life, she was very passionate about sewing and crocheting, as it brought her a sense of peace and calmness. And if she was on her phone, everyone knew exactly what she was doing—playing Candy Crush. She also enjoyed relaxing with her favorite TV shows, Charmed, NCIS, Heartland, and Reba, each one bringing her comfort and joy in its own way. It’s our turn to miss her now; so many loved ones have been waiting to welcome her home.

Donna is preceded by her husband, James Fournier, and son, Sean Fournier. Donna is survived by Her Children: Michael Fournier (Michelle) of Pensacola, Florida, Lee Fournier II (Tabitha) of Crestview, Florida; Her grandchildren, Michael Fournier II, Alex Fournier, Alexis Fournier, Alexis Harris, Abby Ward (Abbie), Autumn Lane, Andrew Lane, Ashlyn Fournier; and great-grandchild, Stiorra Fournier.
