Donnie Barrow, age 72, passed away on Wednesday May 11, 2022. He was born in Okaloosa County, Florida on March 7, 1950, to James and Marie Barrow. He served his country in the United States Army and is a Vietnam Vet.

Donnie was a carpenter and was a Civil Engineer for 30 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle but most of all he enjoyed and loved his children, grandchildren, and his family. He was a good and genuine person, who would help anyone in need. Donnie loved to mentor children and teach them about life and its lessons. He mentored many children who today still consider him their family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Donnie is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Barbara Barrow; sons, Daniel Barrow and Jason Barrow; daughter, Jessica Barrow; sister, Frieda Cook; four grandchildren and one on the way; one great-grandchild; and many many other bonus children and family.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 10:00-11:00am at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with a graveside service starting at 11:30 at Almarante Cemetery.
