Dr. Pamela Anthony-Meadows

Dr Pamela Anthony-Meadows passed away on 27 July 2024 at Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center surrounded by family and care providers. She was 82 years old. She will be cremated and a private spreading of ashes to follow. A public memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 5-7pm on Friday, 9 Aug at Warriors Hall, Crestview Florida. 

She is survived by her two children, son (Mark Meadows), daughter (Michele Rule); seven grandchildren (Pamela Gilmore, Carrington Meadows, Alexander Meadows, Andrew Meadows, Tuyen Johnston, Bethan Rule, Rachel Beattie); and four great-grandchildren (Liam Howard, Grayson Johnston, Michael and Jacob Lewis).

Pamela was born February 6, 1942, in London, England. She and her family moved to Crestview, FL in 1976 after her husband retired from the US Army. She served the Florida Education System for over 34 years during which she earned her Doctorate Degree in early childhood development and started the Florida state Pre-K program. She sat as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the North Okaloosa Medical Center for over 20 years. Pamela was inducted into the Okaloosa County Women’s Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Women of Valor Hall of Fame in 2011.
