We celebrate the life and memory of CMSGT (Ret) Earl Wayne Harden Jr. who was born September 29th, 1954 in Savannah, Georgia and has transitioned on Wednesday May 1st, 2024, in Crestview, Florida. Earl was the second of five children born to Earl W. Harden Sr. and Verna Robinson Harden.
Earl enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1972. He received countless awards, medals, declarations, and ribbons during his tenure. While serving our country he obtained his Associate of Arts, Bachelors, and Masters degree in Management. He retired as Chief Master Sargent in 1997. He then served 19 years in the Federal workforce mostly as a Logistics Manager.
In 1979, Earl married his beloved late wife, Alicia Enoveso Harden. Whom he survived for a short 18 months. Their union brought three children together to continue their legacy.
To forever cherish his memories, Earl leaves behind son MSGT (Ret) Curtis Enoveso Shorter (Heidi), daughters Jennifer Jane Harden, and Jessica Jill McTear (Jesse). One brother, Eric Harden (Wanda), three sisters Karen Jameson, Verna Harden, and Deirdre Phillips.
Earl was respectfully, passionately, and admiringly addressed by his grandkids as Papa. Grandsons Curtis, Marquette “Bubba”, Ty, Levi, and granddaughters Jayden, Jezayah, and Jayahna “The baby.”
He will be missed by a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Earl would be entertained by watching great movies of almost any genres and listening to Blues, Jazz, and Soul music. He enjoyed great BBQ, peach cobbler, and loved seafood! He was easily amused, and his laughter was indeed contagious. The family would like to give thanks for all thoughts and prayers.
