Edna Atkins

Edna Belle Melissa Brown Atkins born on April 27, 1932 to William (Dorace) and Metrice Hart Brown, went home to her Lord and Savior October 22, 2020.

She was such a loving and caring person to her family she was truly an angel on earth where her family is concerned. She spent many years working at City Hall in accounts payable before retiring to spend time with her husband who has also retried. She loved doing her genealogy research, camping and fishing with her husband and all the brothers and sisters. What a time it was when they all gathered at Bear or Hurricane Lake.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Autis (Monk) Atkins.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Autis (Allen) and wife Jane, and Tim (Timmy) and wife Teresa; one grandson, Timothy and wife Tracy; one brother, Morgan Brown and wife Adela; two great-grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 6-8:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:00pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.
