Edward “Mark” Cook 

October 10, 1939 to December 22, 2018

Mark was born in Merrimont, Ohio to Elton and Betty Cook. He attended school in Merrimont, and right after graduation joined the United States Air Force. After the Air Force, Mark moved to South Florida where he attended college at Embry Ridddle to become a Certified Aircraft Airframe Technician. Mark spent 36 years working for Northrop Grumman in Stuart, Florida, as a Certified Aircraft Airframe Technician. While in South Florida Mark was also in the United States Coast Guard Reserves. Upon retirement Mark moved to the Crestview area where he has lived for the last 22 years.

Mark had various interests and hobbies, he loved boating and fishing, he spent as much time outside as possible. When Mark wasn’t out of doors he was inside volunteering at the US Air Force Armament  Museum at Eglin Air Force Base, he spent 10 years at the museum greeting the thousands of people who visit every year.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents Elton and Betty Cook (Ohio). He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cynthia Cook (née Knox) Crestview, brother David Cook (Robyn) Sanibel FL, two sons, Stephen Cook (Christine) Niceville, FL, Matthew Cook (Laura) Port St. Lucie, FL three grandsons, Christian Cook, Niceville, FL Samuel Cook, Niceville, FL, Joshua Cook, Baldwinsville, NY 

A memorial visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Whitehorse-Powell Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Mark’s name to Pet Welfare,  PO Box 1914, Eglin AFB, FL 32542
