Elizabeth Christine Peterson

Elizabeth Christine Peterson, age 89, passed away on 1 July, 2021.

She left her earthly home on 1 July 2021 and immediately went to her eternal heavenly home. Christine enjoyed growing flowers, game shows, playing solitaire, listening to gospel music, and especially visiting with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Willie Jones; her husband, Everett Peterson; son, Glenn Peterson; daughter, Linda Peterson; grandson, Brian Sapp; granddaughter, Tammy Sapp; sister, Bobbie Stanard; and  brother, Frankie Jones.

She is survived by her five children, who she loved dearly: daughter, Elizabeth Sapp (Terry); sons, Everett Peterson Jr. (Sylvia), Cedric Peterson(Darlene), Paul Peterson, and Ronald Peterson (Carolyne); grandchildren, Terry Sapp Jr. (Debbie), Shane Sapp (Bonnie), Duane Sapp (Stefanie), Stephanie Sapp, Jennifer Crawford(Chris), Allen Peterson (Beth), Chris Peterson, Adam Peterson(Jennifer), Wade Peterson (Erika), Nicholas Peterson, Raven Reynolds (Justin), and Joshua Peterson (Heather); sisters, Edda Lee Gordon, Patricia Langley, and Cecile Walley; brothers, Grant Jones, Jimmy Jones, and Billy Jones; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021 with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. A burial will be held at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery in Crestview, Florida immediately following the funeral services.
