Esther Martin, age 97, of Baker, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening, January 7, 2026. She was a resident of Okaloosa County and was residing at death in the Shoal Creek Care Center in Crestview.
Esther was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on March 25, 1928 to Martin and Mabel Clymer. Esther married Benjamin Martin Jr. on December 5th, 1951. She moved with her husband and young family to the Crestview area in 1959. Esther and Benjamin moved to Crestview to join a church ministry and begin a business venture together.
She was a gracious Pastor’s wife and faithful member of Crestview Mennonite Church. Esther was also a valuable part of the family’s business – as well as being an incredible mother and grandmother to her own family and many other families and children.
Esther’s favorite hobbies were gardening and cooking, and regularly blessed her family and others with fresh garden produce, veggies, and delicious meals.
Esther Martin is survived by two sisters, Miriam Stoltzfus and Cathy Nolt, and Sister-in-law, Shirley Clymer, as well as two sons, Jay (Doris) Martin, Baker, FL, and Carl (Deborah) Martin, Atmore, AL, and daughter-in-law, Carol Martin. Esther is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other dear and close family and friends.
Esther was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin Martin Jr., a son, Benjamin Martin III, and two daughters, Louise Martin, and Nancy Martin.
Funeral Service and burial for Esther Martin will be at 10:00 am, Monday, January, 12th, 2026 at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery, Crestview, FL.
