Eugene Corbin
Obituary
Eugene Corbin, age 91 of Laurel Hill, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born October 23, 1930, the seventh son to Cody and Martha Corbin in Chipley, Florida. He was the last surviving sibling of their nine boys and three girls.
Mr. Corbin served his country in the United States Navy and was a barber in FWB for forty four years. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Atlanta Braves and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, June Lundy Corbin; daughters, Eugenia Strawser and husband David and Lora Corbin Rankin and husband Scott; grandchildren, Charity (Clint), Melody (Will), Brian (Wanda), Corbin, Spence, and Lundy Phillips; great grandchildren, Paul, Matthew, Sammy, and Taylor, Elizabeth and Shauna, Alice, Liam, Willow, Maddalynn, Bryson, Adaleigh, and Declan; great great grand-child, Kieran; former son in law, Hank Phillips.
A celebration of Eugene’s life will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 3pm at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with a visitation held from 2-3pm. Reverend Donnie Cadenhead will be officiating the service.
