Evelyn J. (Nelson) Spence, 84 of Crestview, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, December 31, 2020, after a long history of medical issues.
 
Evelyn was born March 3rd, 1936 in Corinth, Kentucky. She married the love of her life, Clyde Spence, in June 1962.  They spent a lot of their happiest times traveling back and forth from Ohio to Florida on interstate 75, enjoying beautiful sights along the way.  They finally settled in Lake City, FL...

Evelyn J. (Nelson) Spence, 84 of Crestview, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, December 31, 2020, after a long history of medical issues.
 
Evelyn was born March 3rd, 1936 in Corinth, Kentucky. She married the love of her life, Clyde Spence, in June 1962.  They spent a lot of their happiest times traveling back and forth from Ohio to Florida on interstate 75, enjoying beautiful sights along the way.  They finally settled in Lake City, FL where Evelyn dedicated her life to caring for Clyde until his passing in 1998.  Evelyn moved to Crestview in 2013 to be closer to her son.
 
Evelyn is survived by her son, Bruce (Jeralyn) Spence, daughter Ann (Tom) Ball, and step son Gary (Judy) Spence. She is also survived by her sister, Iva Wilhoite.  Evelyn had 4 grandchildren (Curtis, Sarah, Jalia, and Michael) and 2 great grandchildren (Adriel and Elijah).
 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde F. Spence; parents, Everett and Elmo (Hatton) Nelson, her sister, Wilma Jean Pivonka, and brother, Earl Nelson.
 
There will be no service at this time. Evelyn will be buried next to her love in Lake City, FL at a later date.
