Francis "Frank" B. McCarthy

 Francis (“Frank”) B. McCarthy US Army SGM (ret) Francis (“Frank”) B. McCarthy, 83, passed away October 11, 2021 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Frank was born January 5, 1938 in Manhattan, NY and lived in many countries before settling in Crestview, Florida in 1981. Frank was a 26-year veteran of the US Army and subsequently worked at Hurlburt Field until 2000, when he retired. After moving to Crestview, he was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He also served as Treasurer of Grandview Heights Homeowners’ Association for many years. Frank was predeceased by three brothers, Eugene, Patrick, and John McCarthy; and four sisters, Johanna T. McCarthy, Marie F. Mulroy, Eileen S. Hughes, and Elizabeth F. McCarthy. Frank is survived by his wife, Erika; two children, Joe McCarthy (Beverly) and Michele Larzelere (Steve); three grandchildren, Joshua McCarthy (Kristina), Marcus Larzelere, and Matthew Larzelere; and two great grandchildren, Ayden McCarthy and Jackson McCarthy, whom he loved very much. He will be missed by all who loved sharing a good cup of coffee and a chat. The celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. The family will welcome guests and friends at 9:30 a.m. Frank’s favorite charity was the Catholic Care Center in Crestview (550 Adams Dr, Crestview, FL 32536; 850-682-4032).
