Gary O'Rourke Obituary

 It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of a great man,  Gary Crane O’Rourke.  He passed away September 26, 2023 after a brief illness.

Gary was born to James and Phyllis O’Rourke in Newark, NJ.  He joined the US Air Force after he graduated high school in 1969.  He served his country proudly for 24 years traveling all over the world and retired in 1993.  After serving his country, he went to college and worked for the department of corrections for 15 years.

Gary was an amazing father to Mary,  James O’Rourke and also his daughter in law, Alicia O’Rourke.   A Proud grandfather to Melina, Chloe and Kennedy O’Rourke, a Best friend to his brother, Dennis O’Rourke.  
He will be remembered for his love for God and faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Gary was kind, funny, generous and loving to all.  There was no stranger he didn’t know.  Gary will be deeply missed and loved by family and friends and will forever be in our hearts.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Phyllis O’Rourke, his wife, Christina O’Rourke and brother Kevin O’Rourke.

Services held at Barrancas National Cemetery on October 12,  2023.
