Gene H Conway

Gene Conway, age 82, passed away on April 28, 2021. He was born in Butler County, AL to Siller and Clayton Amsworth.

 Gene loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. 

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janie Mae Conway; siblings: Bill Conway, James Conway, Lucille King, Albert Conway, Earl Conway, Jimmie Conway, Tom Conway, Bertha Worrells, and Beatrice Cassleberry. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Vance and Deniese Conway; stepson and daughter in law, William and Michelle Cannon, brother, Leonard Conway; best friend, Willie Jean Hughes; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

There will be a visitation from 1–2:00 pm on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.  A funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with interment to follow in Old Bethel Cemetery.
