Genevieve Florence Huff

Genevieve Huff, age 92, of Crestview, passed away surrounded by her family September 18, 2023 in Crestview, FL.  She was born on June 23, 1931 in Washington DC and was a long time resident of Crestview for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Florence Langley; husband, Donald Huff; brothers, Richard, Joe, Louis, Billy and Lenny; sister, Alice; daughters, Nancy and Tina; son, Ray; granddaughter, Samantha, grandson, Jason and great grandson, Rob Jr.  Genevieve is survived by her brother, Alvin Langley; son, Eugene Crawford; daughters and sons in law, Sandra and Frank McCurley and Debra and Jim Shoun; 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren along with numerous extended family and friends.

You always knew where you stood with Ms Genevieve, right, wrong or indifferent, she would let you know.  She will be remembered for having a strong work ethic and always trying to do the right thing. She had a heart of gold but could have won an award for her feisty personality. She leaves behind a legacy of family to cherish her memories. 

To honor Ms Genevieve’s wishes, a visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 10 am to noon with Bro Donnie Cadenhead officiating services at noon.
