George W. Clark

George W. Clark, age 99, of Crestview, Fl., passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 in an area hospital. Mr. Clark was born October 12, 1924 to Oliver and Mary Louise Clark, in Annapolis, Md. He has lived in Crestview, Fl for the past twenty-five years after his move from Lake Worth, Fl. He was a veteran of World War II, serving his country in the United States Army, he had been a member of Annapolis Volunteer Fire Dept. in the early fifties. Mr. Clark graduated  from the University of Miami as an Electrical Engineer and was a member of the IEEE for many years. He retired from Southern Bell in December 31, 1983. Mr. Clark was a member of Grace Redeemer Presbyterian Church of Crestview, Fl.

Mr. Clark is survived by his loving wife, Gail Clark, of 54 years. They were married on August 1, 1970 in Lake Worth, Fl. Mr. Clark is also survived by his sons, Benjamin L. Clark, of Crestview, Fl., David S. Clark and wife Tracy of Crestview, Fl., and daughter Julie J. Clark, and sister-in-law Charlotte Clark of Brick, NJ and grandchildren, Kimberly, Melissa, Cherie, Kelli, Scott, Ryan, Brandon, and Benjamin. Mr. Clark is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. As well as many niece’s and nephews and very special friend Francine Bear.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 10:00-11:00am at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the service starting at 11:00am with Pastor Tyson Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery.
