Obituary

Gerald Frances Starbuck USAF MSGT Ret. Passed peacefully December 19, 2020 after a brief illness surrounded by his beloved wife and family in Holt, FL. He was born November 3, 1930 to Perlie Floyd and Bessie (Johnson) Starbuck in Queen City, MO.  Gerald was Catholic by faith and retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sargent with 27 years of service,  He was an avid bowler and a member of the American Bowling Congress for over 20 years.  In addition to his love of bowling for 18 years he continued to serve his fellow veterans by driving for the VA Transport team bringing veterans and retired military personnel from Ottumwa IA to the VA facilities in Iowa City.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Beula.

Surviving to carry his memory is his beloved wife Eva Leona (Surber) Starbuck, his son: Gary Starbuck and his wife Vickie of Carmichael, CA, his daughter: Dianne Conners and her husband James of Holt, FL.  Also surviving, his brother John Starbuck and his wife Peggy of Kirksville, MO, and his sister Lucile York also of Kirksville, MO.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Cynthia Connors, and Shane and Bryant Starbuck and 5 Great grandchildren. 

Memorization will be by cremation.

The family will be having a celebration of life service in Ottumwa, IA later this spring. The family requests no flowers be sent and those wishing to do so, memorials be made to a charity of your choice
