Gladys Jewel Garrett

Gladys Jewel Martin Garrett a long time resident of Crestview, FL passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023 at the age of 94.

She was born on July 12, 1929 in Dale County Alabama to Dee Martin and Bertha Barnett Martin.

She loved to read, sew, go antiquing, and spending time in her garden.  She enjoyed going hunting, fishing and camping with her family.,

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Jack Garrett, son Daryl Garrett, and sisters Mae Lois Yarbrough and Jeanette Garrett.

She is survived by her children Dwight Garrett, Linda (Joe) Bell and Teresa (John) Brown, 8

grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 12:30-1:00 p.m. at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Live Oak Memorial Cemetery.
