Gregory Weeks

In charge until the very end, Gregory Weeks passed away in his own bed on Monday May 25,2020. His family and loved ones were constantly at his bedside. He was born in Florala, Alabama on July 13, 1952 to Eugene and Hazel Weeks. His greatest achievements were accomplished by his strong work ethic and generous heart. He started work as a convenience store clerk and advanced to Vice-President of Operations for Ritz Food Stores.  He transitioned to his next career with the Okaloosa County School District as a courier. His final job with the School District was Field Supervisor for Food Services. Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Hazel Weeks, brother, James Edward Weeks, and two very special cats, Butkis and Rocky.He is survived by his sister, Diane Barnes and her husband, Charles; nephew, Greg Boyett and his wife Allison; niece, Melanie Ward; special loved ones, Laurie Ward and her family, and Terri and Sandra Adams. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home in Crestview Florida, from 9-11 am. The service will be followed by a Private burial for immediate family members at Bethel Cemetery in Babbie, Alabama.  Please devote any funds that would be spent on flowers to creating precious memories with the ones you love. Memory boards/boxes will be set up at the memorial service for you to post pictures and fond memories of Greg. He was the best brother a sister could ever have.
