Harold Kaiser Obituary

Harold Wayne Kaiser, age 83, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on August 13, 2022, after a long battle with complications from a stroke.

 

Harold was born near Marcus, Iowa on January 14, 1939, where the Kaiser family had been farming since the 1870’s.  After high school he attended trade school majoring in the new field of radio and television electronics.  After certification he moved to Fort Walton Beach and in 1958 accepted a position with Vitro Services testing stability and endurance for airplanes weapons and testing computer hardware for the military.  Over the years he was involved with BOMARCs, AMRAAMs, JSOWs, GBUs, B52s, and JASSMs. 

 

In 1960 he married Betty Lou Broblek, his high school sweetheart.  They built their house in Wright and later moved to Crestview, urban farming and spending time enjoying their collection of antique clocks.  Harold was an active volunteer with the Heritage Park & Cultural Center building exhibits, taking event photographs, and participating in Reed’s Raiders.

 

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred Kaiser, his sister, Phyllis Heins, and his brother, Wilbur Kaiser. He is survived by wis wife of 62 years, Betty Lou Kaiser (Broblek) and his daughter Gail Lynn Meyer.

 

No services are planned at this time. Internment will take place in the Marcus-Amhurst Cemetery, Marcus, Iowa, at a future date.

 

Family would like to thank Harold’s caregivers Joni, Cassidy, and Julie, and the team at Emerald Coast Hospice who were a blessing during this period.
