Inez Brooks

          Inez Brooks age 86 of Crestview passed away on Monday March 14, 2022, at North Okaloosa Medical Center. She was born in Westville, FL on March 30, 1935, to Columbus and Leeila Locke. She grew up in Munson and lived in the Crestview area with her family for many years. Inez attended the Valley Road Baptist Church and loved being outside and gardening and working in her flower bed. She loved to fish with her husband but most of all she loved taking care of her family. Inez was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mack Brooks.

          Inez is survived by her children: Johnny Mack Brooks and Jequita Barnsdale and her husband Reggie; brothers-in-law: Robert Brooks and his wife Patsy, Rhett Brooks and his wife Shirley and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

          A time of visitation with the family will be on Friday March 18, 2022, at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. The funeral for Inez will be on Saturday March 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Valley Road Baptist Church in Crestview. Burial will follow in the Pyron Chapel Cemetery in Baker.
