            Irene Thompson age 87 of Crestview had a glorious and heavenly reunion with her husband on August 18, 2022. She was born in Depauville, NY on February 6, 1935, to Harold and Kathleen Easton. She served alongside her husband Neil as he was a pastor for many years and a military wife for Neil’s 23-year career. Irene would lead Bible Studies and served as mentor to many women. She loved to serve in any capacity she felt called to. Irene also worked at the voting polls and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Most of all she loved the Lord and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband Neil Thompson.

            Irene is survived by her children: Katie Parrish and Jennifer DiTommaso both of Crestview, FL; grandchildren: Eric Parrish and his wife Sheryl; Amber Parrish; Matt DiTommaso and wife Dani; Jordon DiTommaso and Ellie Munro and husband John; great grandchildren: Sophie, Patrick, Nathan, Joshua, Jesse, Ezra, Rosa, Levi, Daxton and Matteo.

            “The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice and Healthcare team for the excellent care that was given to Ms. Irene over these past several months. Each of you have been a blessing-not only in her life, but also in ours. Thank you.”

            The celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Thursday September 1st, 2022, at the Chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Jason Allen officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Irene’s memory to the building fund at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Crestview, FL
