James “Jim” Johnson

Jim Johnson age 74 of Baker passed away on September 19, 2021. Jim was born in Baker, Florida on October 24, 1946, to Olin and Margaree Johnson. Jim graduated in 1964 from Baker High School. He worked as a truck driver, and enjoyed tinkering and making things with his hands, but most of all he loved his family and his grandchildren.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Carrie Johnson; and a brother, Henry Floyd “Buck” Parker.

Jim is survived by his wife of 13 years Donna Johnson; children, Angela Willis, Jaime Johnson, Darla Merrie Hubbard, Nina Elaine Closs,  and Eric Crasts; brothers, Norman Johnson and Herbert Ray Johnson; a sister, Gail Flores; sister-in-law, Margaret Parker; grandchildren, Tyler and Timothy Willis and James and Jimmy Johnson; and Aaron Willis and Alexis Sornecker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00am. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 graveside at Pyron Chapel Cemetery.
