James Edward (Jimmy) Cadenhead, age 76, was called home to be with Jesus on September 22, 2021. Jimmy was married to the love of his life, Judy, for 55 years, and had two sons and six grandchildren. Jimmy was a shining example of Christ’s love. He had a servant’s heart and loved staying busy and finding ways to help people. From serving in the Community to building a successful business with Cadenhead Pest control, he was a highly respected and valued member of Okaloosa County. Jimmy served on the board at Victorious Life Worship Center beginning in 1994 and ending upon his death. Jimmy, along with his wife, taught Sunday School and children’s church for years. He served with honor in the Alabama National Guard for fourteen years. He was a coach in youth sports and was active in the Quarterback Club for Crestview High School for many years. Jimmy never met a stranger and would talk to anyone and everyone. His smile and friendly open attitude drew people in. He blessed the lives of many people in his community.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nellie Cadenhead, and his brothers, Pete and Greg Cadenhead. He is survived by his wife, Judy Cadenhead; son, Scott Cadenhead (Caren) children: Erin Fink (Seth) and Casey; son, Jason Cadenhead (Jennifer) children: Trevor, Jackson, Joshua, and Trenton; his brothers, Clayton Cadenhead and Donnie Cadenhead (Karen), and sister, Helen Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at Victorious Life Worship Center; Visitation will be Saturday, Sept 25th 5-7:00 pm and a Celebration of Life will be Sunday Sept 26th, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Almarante Cemetery.
