Jesus Herrada Ramos

Jesus Ramos, age 70, passed away September 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 14, 1950 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Joaquin and Elvira Ramos. Jesus served in the United States Air Force for over twenty years and was an aircraft mechanic while serving. He worked after retirement as a machinist and sheet metal fabricator for BAE Systems, Crestview Aerospace, and Chromalloy. He loved going to movies, high school football games, sporting events at Crestview, Baker, and Rocky Bayou schools, and going out to eat in town. He loved to watch FOX news and to play card games and solitaire on his computer. Jesus loved doing martial arts in his younger years and spent his later years doting on his granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Ramos; sons, Gabriel Gallardo, Luciano Ramos, and Jonathan Ramos; daughter, Jennifer Beatty; brother, Alfredo Ramos; sisters, Martha Fullerton and Leticia Romero; grandchildren, Leia Beatty, Lyra Beatty, and one more on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 beginning at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with Reverend Doctor Donald Cadenhead officiating.
