Jewell Kelley

Mrs. Jewell Kelley, age 86, of Pace, Florida passed away October 28, 2020. She was born July 4, 1934 in Covington County, Alabama to Joseph and Cealie Cain Thornton. Mrs. Kelley was a resident of Pace, Florida for the past two years and previously lived in Longmont, Colorado; Milton, Florida; Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Florala, Alabama. She attended Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Milton, Florida, Calvary Bible Church in Boulder, Colorado and most recently attended Northridge Church in Pensacola, Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, jigsaw puzzles, putting garden vegetables in the freezer, and being helpful to family and others. Mrs. Kelley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lavis Harmon Kelley; brothers Olen Thornton and Reno Thornton; sisters Verdia Russell, Voncille Henderson, Inez Stokes, Sarah Frances Creeden and Ruby Collinsworth. Mrs. Kelley is survived by her son Bobby Kelley and wife Kate in Arley, Alabama, her son Dewayne Kelley in Alexandria, Minnesota; daughter Cheryl Enzer and husband Bruce Enzer in Pace, Florida; five grandchildren: Mandy Sanders and husband Chad, Kristin Tartaglia and husband Michael, Lindsey Haskins and husband Christopher, Logan Enzer and Shane Kelley; eight great grandchildren: Kayleigh Sanders, Chase Sanders, Cash Sanders, Trey Tartaglia, Owen Targaglia, Seth Tartaglia, Caden Haskins and Luke Haskins. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. A graveside service and burial will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1st at the Damascus Baptist Church cemetery, 17735 County Road 4, Florala, AL 36442.
